About your Facilitator

Roselle P. O’Brien, MA, MFA
ICAF, REACE, REAT

The creative arts, especially music, writing, visual arts, are at the essence of who I am and how I experience my world.

I studied music and received a Certificate (4-year Program) Voice, at the New England Conservatory of Music. I received my undergraduate degree in Art/Fine Arts (and education) from Bridgewater State University. I have a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Lesley University, a Master of Arts degree in Education (Language Arts and Curriculum Design) and a Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Writing both from Goddard College, and a diploma in nursing.

I have studied expressive and creative arts therapy, biblio/poetry therapy, spirituality in healing, storytelling, narrative and memoir writing, writing as a therapeutic modality. Over the past 30 years, I have worked as an expressive and creative arts facilitator, musician, performer, nurse, educator, program and curriculum designer, in my own businesses, for larger organizations and nonprofits, as case manager, and consultant.

A lifetime of making art, of creating spaces to explore and share, alone and with others, continues to inspire and to drive me—to connect through the arts and use our creative expression for deeper clarity, deeper understanding, health, healing, and transformation.
